its 330am and i'm still packing!

(here's a pic of Esin, my seamstress when i picked up my dress. She is the BEST. i absolutely adore her. Her company is called Sew Elegant on W 39th. And i cant recommend her enough. Aside from the fact that she does amazing work, she has the most amazing positive spirit. It was always such a treat to go see her.)

It's here. Its finally here!
We are leaving in the morning for Mexico to get MARRIED!
i cant believe it.
nor can i believe that we are leaving in 3 hours and i'm still packing.
but this is fairly normal for my travel habits i have to say.
and if it weren't for andrew, i'd have 20 hours of packing ahead of me instead of 20 minutes.
(and if he knew i was updating my blog right now, he might just have my head. ha!)

i think we've planned all we can plan. now its just time to let it happen.
we've been engaged for 10 months. and it was perfect! i'm ready for the next challenge. bring it on.

all i care about at this point, is that everyone makes it there safely and then has the time of their life. and that andrew and i can take a step back and breathe it all in, breathe each other in. because this is once in a lifetime. ahhhhhhhh!

wishing you a week of love wherever you are!

My dress in seat 22F

Ok..just have to fill you in on destination wedding challenges..how the heck do you get your wedding dress to your wedding???

Now that there are no more hanging bag areas (or very few) on airplanes...the idea of folding it up into a 24x18 inch square was slightly less than desirable. Alas, i google "how to get my dress to destination wedding" and found an idea...GET YOUR DRESS AN AIRLINE SEAT. hahah!

honestly, on jet blue it wasnt too expensive...plus i think its worth a bit of sanity knowing that i have the dress...i mean, its one checked bag i wouldnt want to lose.

so..looks like it will be the 3 of us on the plan andrew! maybe the dress will help us score an extra bag of organic animal crackers and a bag of blue chips! woo hoo!

sisters

photographed 3 adorable little sisters recently.
wow...i've never seen such a collection of tutu's!
what a dream!
i grew up with one brother, whom i love dearly, but when i my dad told me at 3 years old that i was about to get a little baby brother, i cried, saying, "i want a girrrrrrl!" needless to say, i couldnt love my little (6 foot tall) brother anymore than i do, and yes, i did manage to dress him up in tutus anyway...but i have to admit, a big collection of tutus in every length and color to dance around the house in, is something to covet!

Who are the people in your neighborhood?

Please pardon the blog entries for the next couple weeks, they may be less about what i've photographed lately, and more of my wedding (!) that is happening is 2 + weeks (!!)

i've come in contact with such great and talented vendors along the way, so its a fab chance to pimp them out and share with you!

finally picked up my "veil" last week. ordered it from Sara Gabriel, who is awesome! Here she is helping me with one of her creations. (she's in the green flower). The trunk show was at Gabriella New York (Gabriella who also fantastically rocks, is in the white).

I'm uber excited to wear my headpiece...didnt want to show too much of it in pics in case andrew sees...woo hoo!

take a stand in 2010

Happy New Year!

We had friends over on Boxing Day...and little August showed up in cowboy attire.
And like a proper cowboy, he stuck by his guns..and wanted to do what he wanted to do.
I love the negotiations, even with dad wearing the cowboy hat, i'm not sure who won.

May your year be filled with periods of passion and determination...and overall fun.
