We Are Kids of Kathmandu-VIDEO

Happy Holidays!

Thanks to those of you who came out to our Winter Fundraising Cocktail Party. It was a great night.
See the pictures from the event here.

It was an amazing success with over $10,000 raised, surpassing our goal and insuring that we will continue to be able to send the kids to the private school we love for 2012!

And i want to share our VIDEO with you!
Filmed and edited by the talented Suraj Ratna Shakya, music created especially for Kids of Kathmandu by Kutumba, a popular Nepali band.

Thanks for all your support. Enjoy!

It is all about...

Tomorrow night is our 2nd event ever, our Winter Fundraising Cocktail Party for our nonprofit, Kids of Kathmandu. We're expecting a great turnout and a lovely evening!

Of course we are running around figuring out how many table cloths, what color, do we have fishing wire, and if we have recycle trash cans or not (which reminds me!)...but it all comes down to these 49 kids below.

Hope to see you Friday.

You can buy tickets or make a tax-deductible donation on our website here

One Hundred Days of Zach

Seriously. I could have photographed this little guy all day!
Dimples, fat rolls, fluffy hair, and smiles..what else can you ask for?!

And the Korean tradition is to celebrate your 100 Day birthday. How great is that?
So here is Zach at One Hundred Days.

A gorgeous family. Thanks so much for spending your morning with me.
And fresh from the West Coast...welcome to New York!

Kathryn + Justin, A Brooklyn Wedding

Days before we left for Nepal, we photographed Kathryn and Justin tying the knot.

Who would believe this was a November day! It was so gorgeous...you know how it goes...a nice day for a white wedding!

Justin is a graphic designer and took care of so many amazing details at the wedding...the centerpiece cards were my favorite. Each table was a different part of brooklyn..and they incorporated the history of the area (like Smith Street for example) along with a little story about the significance it has for them personally.
And check draping on the chuppa. Kathryn's mom who is a master seamstress spent almost a year on this, weaving literally miles of wool into this intricate and important piece for the ceremony. This was very much their wedding. What a treat.

So that wraps up our 2011 wedding season. A beautiful year of love it was! Happy December to all!

xx
