Family Genetics are Amazing...18 Month Photography. Then and Now!

My visits with Bella and family just get better and better.
Visit #3 was inspired by Bella's mom's desire to mirror a photo of herself that her own mother absolutely adores from a few moons ago when she was 18 months herself!
So complete with Raggedy Ann and total family teamwork, I'd say we got pretty close, no?!

There are a lot of amazing things in this world, many of them technology related these days. But family genetics? Nature at its best...there is just nothing like it.

And is that wrong that i kind of want to wear the outfit that Bella kind of chose for herself. A purple tutu, purple high tops, and a summer tank? Hello, yes please!

And you can see a new baby is on the way...needless to say, I can't wait for visit #4 with this sweet crew. I ADORE these guys.

Thank you for inviting me to document your family!
xx

Family Weekend Coming Soon ....Yes! To theaters near you!

Family Weekend is movie that my little brother has produced with his awesome team at Footprint Features...it was filmed 2 years ago in Detroit...and release dates are now in full effect across the nation!!

The whole thing is so exciting. I spent one of the coldest months of my life there photographing behind the scenes, the cast and crew, and shooting for this movie poster below!

Some people come out of the womb knowing what they want to do with their lives, and my brother is one of them. And he is making that happen as we speak. Its so inspiring and i'm so insanely proud of him. And honored and thrilled to be part of it all, collaborating together creatively is just a total dream.

Movie opens in NY, LA, Detroit, Dallas, and Chicago the weekend of March 29th. You must go that 1st weekend! If theaters are packed, they will extend the showings.

Enjoy!

One Month Baby Photography...And Then Came Brinkley!

....And then one month later, back in Dallas for Thanksgiving, I got to photograph the new family of 4.
Dad Jeff is my cousin...and we went to college together...we did the typical upstanding things college kids do which i wont mention here, he also handed down old tests to me, (in the paper era), and generally just looked out for me.

It's super cool to see him not only as the incredibly accomplished plastic surgeon that he is (and wow, he is!), but a dad of 2 little ones.

Life is crazy cool.
Thanks for inviting me to document your new family.
Love you lots.

Twins Photo Shoot, 4 months

Sister and Brother twins Luc + Camille are double the bliss.
When i walked into their apartment the two of them were just relaxing on the couch like 2 little dolls.

Their little eyebrows hold so much expression.
Photographing these amazing new little people of the world is still one of my favorite things to do!

Congrats to your new family of 4 (or 7 if we count 2 cats and 1 dog!)

Thanks for sharing your day with me!

One Hundred Days of Zach

Seriously. I could have photographed this little guy all day!
Dimples, fat rolls, fluffy hair, and smiles..what else can you ask for?!

And the Korean tradition is to celebrate your 100 Day birthday. How great is that?
So here is Zach at One Hundred Days.

A gorgeous family. Thanks so much for spending your morning with me.
And fresh from the West Coast...welcome to New York!

Gramps

Speaking of grandfathers, here's one of my grandfather and me...that I have on my wall...i've studied it over and over. My grandfather would have been 100 this summer. He was a dashing, smart, and loving man. I miss him.

Wyoming

A lovely 8 days were spent in Grand Tetons, Wyoming this summer with my family.

Biking, eating, animal watching, and more biking.
Have you been?

Its the kind of place where you are biking along the foot of the mountains, as a cowboy is riding his horse rounding up the cattle at sunset..and you have to remind yourself that it's not a commercial. Its the biggest screen of all.
