A little sibling on the way!

So excited for these guys, who I met when this Big-Sis-to-be was just 6 months old.
I just love our visits and celebration of life's big and little milestones.

And pretty cool that Grandpa made it to the shoot, when his flight back to Moscow was leaving later that same day! Thanks for making our photo shoot part of your last day of your trip!

Can't wait to meet the new little...less than a month away!

Expecting in New York

Nepal is of course very close to my heart...and one of the (many) reasons I love this country is how important FAMILY is. Here we were for an expecting shoot...and in addition to these sweet and super excited parents to be, came her cousin and her sister. LOVE that. That's the Nepali way, nothing like it.

Expecting in NYC!

So.....yeah. They say you GLOW when you're pregnant....and I'm here to say the camera has proven, that those people don't lie!

Expecting in Dallas, Showing in New York. A baby girl on the way for Lauren + Wade!

Lauren + Wade spent a celebratory weekend in New York and I was fortunate enough to get a call from them to photograph their blooming family status!

Although we don't know each other from Dallas, I grew up there for almost 18 years and when I meet other people from there, amidst the chaos (that I love) of New York, there is a special little handshake (hug or air kiss rather) that seems to happen... and I feel a little of the southern comfort from home sprinkled in the air.

Expecting....Ruby's Brother Coming Soon

What can I even say?! Stayed awake until 4am editing these images because this family transports me to a different world, I didnt even realize the time.

I've been fortunate enough to photograph these guys 3 times in the past....when mom was expecting Ruby, when Ruby was newborn, and when Ruby was 6 months. It's truly such a privilege, and I really feel that these images are a collaboration...such an incredible experience to be able to capture these times with this open and loving family of 3 that is soon to be 4!

And can we just address the fact that at 2 1/2 Ruby looks into the camera with the most gorgeous, present, and serene face that I can't even get over her.

Congratulations you guys!
Can't wait to meet this new little guy who is going to open his eyes and be hella excited for the family he's going to call his own.

Maternity Photography...Waiting for Brinkley!

I was lucky enough to be in Dallas during (which turned out to be) the last 5 days of my BEAUTIFUL cousin Emily's pregnancy with Brinkley!

We spent a sweet, reflective, and peaceful morning documenting this fleeting time.
I really love maternity shoots for zen-ed out feeling of it all.
