Central Park Family Photography

It's not like the old days...now so many families are strewn across the globe, seeing each other on big holidays and family celebrations (mine included!)...so I'm always so aware of how special it is, when 3 generations actually live close enough that they can get together on a casual summer morning for pictures (and fun!).

Kids usually have a good hour in them for shoots like these, but let's be honest, after what the adults endure (piggy back rides, getting tackled, rolling in the grass, blowing bubbles,  playing hide and seek), everyone is happy for lunch afterwards! But it is so worth I would say...wouldn't you??

New York Family Photography with this Gorgeous Quartet!

I met these guys earlier this year in St. John when I was photographing Leigh + Roberto's amazing wedding...we clicked like that, and realized we were neighbors too! So I was super excited skip the taxi and roll myself and my gear to their place and see them as a whole crew at home. (on a World Cup Sunday too! Dad Philippe was a trooper trying to only run from the shoot to the game when there were large bursts of crowd screaming...!)

Mom Ana is an art director, and I know myself how hard it is to be on the other side, to let it go and be IN the moment and hence the image...but I thought you rocked it Ana...being very present, but we still got to reep the benefits of your attention to detail when you opted to iron the pillow cases during a little break. haha!!

And big sister is so hilarious..and wise!...I feel like it's only a matter of weeks before I could call her for a coffee date and we could meet and talk about the world.

Thanks for inviting me over guys.
What a enjoyable morning it was with a family like yours!

New York Family Photography, One Last Time!

So I photographed these guys about 6 months ago when the little guy was a real little guy! So of course I was excited to hear from mom Wendy again...but when she contacted me via email, text, AND phone, I knew there was more to this story!

They were moving to San Francisco...in a week!

And wouldn't you know, the day that we could work out best for everyone was LITERALLY the DAY they were getting on a plane to fly to other side of the country, leaving New York! Knowing myself before a flight, how I pretty much don't sleep because I'm packing until the very last minute (and this is even if we're talking about a 3 day trip), made me SOOOO incredibly impressed with these guys...and so honored! That they would want to spend the last morning with me and my cameras, photographing such a defining moment in their lives. (Not to mention the fact you guys were sooooo relaxed and chill, I want to bow at your feet in awe!)

I hope you've gotten settled in San Francisco now and that these images of your old home make you smile.

New York Family Photography, Central Park Summertime!

Well these guys are just the sweetest...photographed them back when the little guy wasn't yet walking...so when they got out of the car at Central Park, and I saw him jump out on his own 2 legs, it was like magic!

And as brothers, these 2 are incredible. When I mentioned that to mom Lindsay, she said, yes! She talks to them often about being best friends for each other, and loving each other. Ahh! How awesome is that...and it is WORKING! That is the best kind of brainwash I can possibly imagine. Maybe we should try that strategy for the entire universe!

Thanks for hanging with me y'all!
Happy summer
