We drove away from the wedding this evening overwhelmed with LOVE! Actually the bride Sandra has already written to us saying "We didn't quite understand the beauty of a wedding or the idea of getting married until the day of...."
Sandra and Lucas met in high school. With a natural break during their 20s, (Lucas went to Westpoint!) they have now been together for 10 years. So that makes it all the more goose-bumping, when Sandra turned the corner with her mom to approach the ceremony, and Lucas, as I've never seen before, openly and loudly SOBBED! Omg, it was so incredibly honest and sweet...he had the entire tent of guests in tears.
They had all the ingredients for an extremely unique and personal day:
The venue at Lucas' family house and stunning property in the Catskills (that is now going to be open for outside weddings-gulp, book it now!), a fun and entertaining Korean Paebaek wedding ceremony, where this tradition is to present the bride to the groom's family, a complete downpour mid-reception that never stopped the dance floor action for a minute, a heart-filled speech from one of her bridesmaids that touched the soul of everyone, and a full rainbow that showed its colors as guests began to leave!
Sandra and Lucas you guys are a super special duo and we thank you dearly for inviting us to be part of your day.
xx
